GANG WARS

This page explains what information the GTAD Gang Wars party game collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account and playing, you agree to this Privacy Policy and Terms below. If you don't agree, please don't sign up.

Who we are

GTAD Gang Wars is operated by Harris Event Group ("we", "us"), the team behind Grand Theft After-Dark nightlife events. Questions or requests? Email TJ@Harriseventgroup.com.

You must be 21+

Our events and this game are intended for adults 21 years or older. Don't create an account if you're under 21. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21 and will delete it if we learn we have.

What we collect

• Your email address — required to create your account and log back in.
• Your in-game name and avatar — the display name and character you choose.
• Gameplay data — your scores, cash, gang, badges, and activity in the game.
• Basic technical data — limited connection information used to keep the game running and prevent abuse (for example, rate-limiting spam). We do not build advertising profiles.

We do not ask for your password, payment card, government ID, or other sensitive personal information inside this game.

How we use it

• To run your account — sign-in, your game standing, leaderboards, and account recovery. This is necessary to provide the game.
• Marketing — only if you opt in — if you check the marketing box, we'll email you about upcoming Grand Theft After-Dark events, ticket drops, and party news. Checking that box is optional and never required to play.
• Safety and improvement — to operate, secure, and improve the game and our events.

Your marketing choices

Marketing emails are opt-in. You can change your mind anytime: toggle the email setting inside the game (tap your character → email preferences), use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us at TJ@Harriseventgroup.com. We honor opt-out requests promptly. Turning off marketing doesn't delete your game account.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the game and our mailing list, and only for that purpose:

• Hosting — our game server is hosted on a cloud provider (Fly.io) to run the app and store your account.
• Our records / mailing list — sign-up details (email, name, and whether you opted in) are recorded in a Google Sheet we control so we can manage our event mailing list.
• Email delivery — if we send you marketing, we may use an email service to deliver it.
• Legal — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, guests, or events.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and email while you use the game and our events, and for a reasonable period after, unless you ask us to delete it. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or unsubscribe from marketing, by emailing TJ@Harriseventgroup.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR; we'll honor applicable requests.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no online service can be guaranteed 100% secure. Please keep your backup passport code private.

Terms of play (the short version)

• Play fair and keep it clean — names and chat are moderated. We may mute, reset, or remove accounts that abuse the game.
• The game, cash, rep, and prizes are for entertainment at our events and have no cash value unless we explicitly say otherwise.
• We may change or end the game, or update these terms, at any time. Continued play means you accept the current version.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Please check back occasionally.
